My friend has a really screwed up home life. Help?

Okay, he has an abusive drunken mother who puts him down at every turn. His father is hellishily abusive. His sister is such a *****. His further relatives hate him for being more passive. This doesn't sound even half as bad as it actually is. I mean a living Hell, and I'm not even around most of the time. He doesn't usually complain, so I asked why he doesn't. He told me some stuff, but basically, he said that he is actually considering homicides. And they were really well thought out, to where he really could get off. I'm really worried. But the worst part is, after just what I've seen of his home life, I truly don't think he is wrong to think that way... You have no idea how scary it is when it comes to that. Please help...
