Is my Russian uncle a unhealthy person?

One of my uncle's are pure Russian and lives in Russia. I've only seen him about four times in my whole life, but I talk to him on the phone here and their (I can speak Russian). My uncle is a homicide detective over in Russian, has been practically his entire life. He says his job is very stressful, he has rage problems, drinks 14 cups of strong coffee a day "no joke! Lol - for real!", smokes 2 packs of cigarettes, and drinks vodka alot. He says he's been doing these habits ever since he was 17 years old. Is this really unhealthy? He's now age 61 and has kidney problems, damaged liver, heart problems, bad lungs, and a serious ulcer.
