How do I find out detailed information on a solved murder case from 1995?

In August of 1995 a double homicide took place on my front porch when me and 3 friends were sitting on my front porch. I looked directly at the person as he began to fire the SKS assault rifle and was still unable to identify him. Within a week they found the shooter and it was an ex-boyfriend of mine. I was only 13 when this took place. He has been convicted of 2 first degree homicides and 2 first degree attempted murders and was sentenced to 2 life sentences with no chance of parole and 2 - 260 mos sentences with no chance of parole and to be served consecutively. He has already tried to appeal his case & lost. Being that it is 16 years later I would really like closure. I want to see what it was I missed that night and would also like to speak to the man who did it so I can hopefully move on. Any information would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you!
